Privacy Policy

Who we are

Winston Park Guardians NPC ("WPG", "we", "us") is a non-profit company registered in South Africa. We operate a community security programme for the suburb of Winston Park, KwaZulu-Natal. Our registered address is 33 Van Riebeeck Road, Winston Park, KwaZulu-Natal.

What we collect

When you register for membership we collect:

  • Full name
  • South African ID number
  • Residential address (within Winston Park)
  • Email address
  • Cell phone number
  • Number of adults in your household (for armed-response purposes)

Your SA ID number is forwarded to Netcash to complete your debit-order mandate.

We do not collect banking details. Your bank account and debit-order mandate are handled exclusively by Netcash (Pty) Ltd, a registered payment service provider. WPG never sees your banking information.

Why we collect it

We process your personal information solely to administer your WPG membership: to activate your armed-response coverage, send you newsletters and incident updates, and contact you about your account.

How long we keep it

Active member records are retained for the duration of your membership. If you cancel, we retain your record for 12 months for administrative purposes, after which it is securely deleted. PII in form submissions is purged from the admin inbox within 30 days of debit-order activation.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Object to processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator
